The Residence Hall Association (RHA) has four (4) committees available for residents who want to contribute to the residence halls while gaining leadership and teamwork skills and building relationships. Any residents are able to join including Programming Board members and Residence Life student staff members.

Public Relations & Recruitment
- Create content for the different social media accounts of RHA to keep residents entertained and informed.
- Publicize RHA events and initiatives on campus through both physical and digital PR strategies.
- Assist, organize, and host 2-4 RHA recruitment events.
- Oversee the submission process for movies and content to be featured on the RHA Movie Channel, ensuring that submitted movies align with the guidelines and values of RHA.
- Update the RHA Movie Channel with new movie titles, schedules, and any relevant information, ensuring that the website remains current and user-friendly.
Programming
- Plan, execute, and evaluate a variety of social, educational, and recreational events for campus residents.
- Coordinate efforts with other campus and external partners, such as Campus NightLife and the University Program Council (UPC), to sponsor or co-sponsor events.
- Provide accessible options for all events.
- Ensure events have a focus on building connections between residents.
Advocacy & Inclusion
- Plan, execute, and evaluate diversity-related educational, service, and cultural events designed to enrich residential living.
- Coordinate efforts with other university organizations and departments to co-sponsor events, such as the Gender & Sexuality Center, the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, and international student groups.
- Act alongside the Director of Diversity & Inclusion as liaisons between the RHA Senate and the Division of University Housing on matters of residential living.
- By advocating for the rights and needs of campus residents, ensuring that their voices are heard and represented in discussions about campus policies and issues.
- Monitor and review campus policies affecting residents, including housing policies, dormitory regulations, and community guidelines, ensuring they are inclusive and equitable.
- Regularly assess the campus climate by gathering input from residents about their experiences with inclusion and their perceptions of advocacy efforts in University Housing.
Hall Improvement
- Serve as a leadership development and advocacy opportunity for RHA Senators and residents.
- Be a sounding board to evaluate and recommend housing policy suggestions, improvement, and ideas.
- Craft bills and legislation to be seen by the RHA Senate to suggest improvements for the residence halls.
- For example, previous hall improvements have included, increased safety measures in the Abel/Sandoz Welcome Center, additional equipment in the Suites Complex (e.g. massage chairs and arcade game console), and improved kitchen equipment in Kauffman Academic Residential Center.
