The Residence Hall Association (RHA) serves as the student government of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln residence halls and is recognized as the voice for students living in on-campus housing by University Housing and Residence Life. RHA is focused on enhancing the residential experience within the residence halls by sponsoring exciting, engaging events, representing Nebraska at regional and national student conferences, and advocating for positive change on campus.

RHA is comprised of representatives from each residence hall/complex referred to as "Senators" and a variety of elected executives and appointed officers. These individuals all serve in various capacities from being liaisons to different offices and departments across campus to providing community building and educational events and programs throughout the year.

RHA Senate Meetings

RHA Senate meets every Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the Willa Cather Dining Center (WCDC) Red Cloud room on the first floor. These meetings run all throughout the academic year and are open to anyone interested in learning more or voicing a concern within the residence halls.

Getting Involved

There are many ways for residents to get involved with RHA! Every residence hall/complex has a Local Council, which serves as the governing body for the individual halls/complexes. These Local Councils have their own Executive Board and general members, plan events and programs for their residents, and work to improve the residential experience. Also, you can always join RHA as a Senator and a future Executive Board member.

Contact Us

The RHA Office is located on the first floor of the Willa Cather Dining Center (WCDC) #106, which is near the Herbie's Market. All Executive Board members hold office hours throughout the week, so everyone is more than welcome to stop by whenever the door is open.
