Residence
Hall Association The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is the student government body for students living in the UNL Residence Halls. RHA is the largest recognized student organization on campus, with a fluctuating membership of close to 6,000 students. RHA collects fees from all residence hall students which allow the organization to put on programming, hold philanthropy events, and work toward residential enhancement. The
RHA consists of an executive and legislative branch made up of the local
hall governments. Each hall or complex sends representatives from their
government to RHA Senate meetings to decide on issues from parking to
event planning. Also, RHA Committees work on residential enhancement,
advertising of events, community service projects, and even the RHA website.
RHA is an active and exciting organization with plenty of levels to get
involved. Local Governments:
Mission Statement: To serve
as the student government of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln residence
halls. To enhance the living and learning environment of the halls and
to work jointly with the University Administration to create and alter
policies designed to establish and maintain such an environment. To
encourage and coordinate the representation of the general membership
throughout campus. To communicate to the general membership any information
pertinent to them. To discuss, to act upon, and to communicate the opinion
of the Association on matters of interest to the general membership.
To communicate with other student organizations on campus. |
